What is a Reading Room?
Christian Science Reading Rooms are bookstores and reading centers for the exploration of spirituality, prayer, and healing. They are public resources for anyone on his or her spiritual journey and are open to people of all faiths, backgrounds, and ways of life. The Reading Room offers a quiet place to focus on your relationship with God during the week.
Our Reading Room contains the Christian Science Monitor newspaper, a computer with Internet access (wifi access is also available), a large collection of bound volumes, and more. ("Bound volumes" are back-issues of the Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel magazines, which contain verified accounts of Christian healing and articles on a variety of topics.) The computer has the Concord Study Resource program available for searching the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy. We also have audio programs and music you can purchase, borrow, or listen to.
Don't be shy! Please drop into our Reading Room any time during our regular business hours. Our friendly Reading Room staff is here to help you find the inspiration you're looking for.
